Elfland @the Somerville Museum

Elfland was started by a local 8-year old boy and some elves. Organically grown in an empty lot at the corner of Summer and School Streets, it epitomizes the creativity of Somerville residents. Poised for possible future eviction, the Somerville Museum offered part of our front garden to house the tiny buildings and sites over the winter months. Learn more from the recent Boston Globe article and follow them (and us!) on Instagram.

Join local artists August Sklar and Nolan Boomer for two (2) morning sessions on how to make miniature houses inspired by Elfland. Both sessions we will meet from 9am to 12pm at the Somerville Museum.

This project is supported in part by a grant from the Somerville Arts Council, a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
