American Association for State & Local History (AASLH)

The American Association for State and Local History's (AASLH) Leadership in History Awards Program was established in 1945. The awards are the most prestigious recognition for achievement in the preservation and interpretation of state and local history. The winners represent the best in the field and provide leadership for the future. Since 2017, the Somerville Museum and its partnering curators, artists, community members and historians have received three AASLH Leadership in History Awards.
