This was a very busy week for us! The waterproofing passed inspection and the team is getting ready to backfill the hole where the elevator will live. In between rainstorms and intense heat, the construction team, led by Superintendent Jim Piquette, has been rearranging schedules and subcontractors to keep us on schedule so that the renovated part of the Museum can reopen this fall. We appreciate their dedication to this project. The picture posted this week is of our President, Barbara Mangum, and Jim looking at, and discussing the progress with the hole.

It was a busy week for the programming team too! Community Curators, Jose Falconi and Santiago Montoya were in town to meet with other local chocolatiers and talk about possible collaborations. Their exhibition, El Dorado Chocolataria, opens this Winter. This is just a teaser – stay tuned for more updates.
