Evelyn Battinelli

Executive Director Emerita and Trustee

Evelyn Battinelli is the Somerville Museum’s volunteer Executive Director.  She manages the museum’s collections, hosts a busy calendar of lectures and concerts, partners with city departments to present educational events and celebrations, and works with Somerville’s schools, seniors, and non-profit groups. 

She is an encyclopedia of the Museum’s collections and our local history.  Her knowledge, warmth, and enthusiasm welcome everyone to discover and explore the arts, history, and culture of Somerville.  In 2017 she received the Powderhouse Award for Distinguished Service to the community and in 2018 she was recognized with a 2018 Unsung Heroine Award at the Massachusetts State House.  Contact her at: evelyn.battinelli@gmail.com.
