Immigrant Dreams and Realities in Somerville

This exhibition was a celebration with Laura Hoguet’s 8th grade students from Somerville’s Healey School. Building on the Museum’s Project Local, a hands-on history learning program, Ms Hoguet’s students examined the dreams versus the reality for recent immigrant communities in Somerville. Original research, oral histories from families and friends, and visual art enlivened this important conversation about the contemporary immigrant experience, led by Somerville’s next generation.
