This week the new stairs on Westwood Road were poured! With this addition and the newly poured sidewalks, the exterior is almost complete. We’re also working on the design of the new front/Central Street fence generously donated by Elio LoRusso who owns Somerville Ornamental Iron Works. Gene Brune (Trustee and fundraising prodigy) has a longstanding relationship with Elio and we’re all very excited about this new addition to the project.
Also, this week the template for the ocular window arrived and the team is prepping for the installation of this faux window on the new elevator addition.
Meanwhile, the Museum is closed for the installation of our next exhibition, Bittersweet, which opens to the public on January 28th. You won’t want to miss this show, so mark your calendars!
