We took a bit of a hiatus last week as we were in a holding pattern waiting on inspections and punch list items to be completed. But this week was a big week!  The elevator passed the official state inspection! We also just passed our fire inspection and now we’re waiting for our building inspection before the contractors can officially turn the space back to us. Staff and volunteers have been slowly organizing merchandise, front desk materials, and getting ready to use the new reception for the next exhibition, Somerville Open Studios (SOS): First Look Exhibit, which opens to the public on April 15th. We couldn’t be more excited to share the renovated spaces with the community and we hope you enjoy them as much as we do. Hopefully, next week we’ll be able to share more good news. 

We’re starting to sort out our new merchandise display; Travis, from our contracting team, installing some custom shelves.
