The word of the week is “heat wave.” Unfortunately, this week’s weather conditions held up a concrete pour. Once the heat breaks we should be able to move forward with this and of course our construction team is on top of scheduling this work, inspections, and figuring out the best ways to stay on schedule. 

This past weekend we held a Construction Info Session and gave attendees a VIP tour of the construction site. You can see here the special material the team has laid down to ensure quick moisture removal.

The weather isn’t just affecting construction, but programming as well. Our annual Reading Frederick Douglass event is scheduled for today (Thursday, 7/1) at Bow Market and the weather forecast is calling for thunderstorms. We’re keeping a close eye on the skies, hoping for the best and working on a potential backup plan. The best way to stay up to date is to RSVP through Eventbrite.
