The word of the week is “rainfall.” With most construction projects your team is at the mercy of the elements. This project is no exception. Fortunately, we have an experienced team who is able to work around the obstacles and do their best to keep us moving towards our completion date. The plan this week was to waterproof the elevator area which is especially difficult to do when everything is so wet from days of rain! But, they were able to wrap the foundation walls and keep it dry in the hopes of waterproofing soon.

In the meantime, the Museum staff is prepping and preparing for ArtBeat on Saturday. ArtBeat is an annual event hosted by Somerville Arts Council from 11am-6pm. The Museum will have a booth in Seven Hills Park behind the movie theatre. We’ll be showing off some new merchandise and offering a rock painting activity. Come by and renew your membership, pick up some gifts, or just stop by to say hi!
