Wall painting and tile started this week! It’s exciting seeing some of the finishes come together for this project.

Lots of activity this week as we gear up for the opening of Penny Chronicles and the Stories They Tell opening today! Curated by David Guss, this exhibition explores the history of Somerville through the medium of the vintage postcard. In their heyday, postcards were the social media of their day. During this exhibition, we’ll be selling reproductions of our favorite vintage images and mailing them for you – so you can connect with family and friends the old-fashioned way! Opening hours are Thursdays 2–7 p.m., Fridays 2–5 p.m., and Saturdays 12–5 p.m.

David Guss is also giving a Curator Talk/Exhibit Tour on Saturday, 9/11 at 12pm. Tickets are $10 (Museum members free). Reserve yours today.
